Tool Management Program

Keeping your tools online is critical. That’s why Encore Systems has developed an onsite tool management program specifically for OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. Our customizable program can help reduce downtime and repair costs and improve the lifespan of your fastening tools.

How Our Program Works

An Encore representative will visit your plant, assess your facility’s conditions and the expected lifespan and need of specific models in your inventory, and set up personalized, web-based software. After the initial setup, a trained technician from Encore will regularly maintain your inventory, schedule calibrations, and provide repairs when needed onsite at your facility.

Data Input/Tool Management

Our custom-tailored software includes every detail needed for your fastening tools, including serial number, manufacturer, part number, performance targets, locations, and current disposition and type to improve part traceability, ensure easier data recovery, and provide better sharing capabilities within your facility.

Repair Information

An Encore technician will perform repairs as needed and track relevant data, including the total cost, the number of repairs performed for each part, and the date of the repair, to help you make more cost-effective decisions down the road.

Job Documentation

Our trained technicians track job details within the software after performing repairs or scheduled calibrations. Job details include the tool’s condition, steps taken during repair or calibration and which tools or equipment were used, adjustments made to settings or components, any parts that were replaced, the name of the technician performing the job, and test results.

Calibration Data

In our tool management program, we develop a calibration schedule for your inventory. All tools are calibrated to the ISO 17025 standard, and calibration details, including calibration parameters and final calibration results (tolerances and accuracy verification), are recorded in our software and maintained by a technician.

Preventative Maintenance Due Dates

Your Encore technician will ensure your tools are regularly inspected, cleaned, and lubricated. During the program’s setup phase, we will develop a preventative maintenance schedule for each tool in your inventory, and our software will provide reminders to your technician to ensure maintenance is performed when needed.
